This location in Fort Walton Beach is literally the worst bank ever! If they are going to be the only branch in our area and have no drive-thru then it would make sense to have enough tellers to support the volume of customers coming in. In the over 6 years I've had to come to this bank I have never seen more than 2 tellers, most of the time there is only 1 teller. After they remodeled they made it clear they never plan on ever adding anymore tellers either! There is clearly no care or concern about their customers or their time. It really is sad. The tellers for the most part are great and try to do their best with volume but I always wait no matter what time I come. They make it dreadful for busy professionals.
We appreciate you coming in, Danica. You may be able to save time by using an ATM or by using our online banking or mobile app. Signing up for the mobile app is simple: https://www.bankofamerica.com/online-banking/mobile-and-online-banking-features/overview/

This is the worst Bank I’ve ever been to. No more than two tellers at all times. Huge lines. A greeter , the that offers Zero help with anything as far as I have seen and bums.....in the bank....just chatting to anyone that will listen. Just awful. I don’t ever write reviews but this place was so awful I had to.

This used to be a great location. One big recommendation i have is to put a sign up at the door to let people know what your actual times of business. I’ve stopped by 3 times and you are closed. The sign on your door does NOT reflect your times of operation. I’ve also run across some senior bank customers standing outside in the cold waiting for your opening to no avail. They informed me they don’t do online banking and do not know that your location is temporarily closed for who knows how long. Please do better

I have been a premier customer for at least 15 years and service has degraded significantly. Staff is courteous and capable but after closing the drive up and the Shalimar branch they just cannot service the demand. Lines are long for tellers (I have never seen more than two at a time and often only one) exacerbated by adding duties like safety deposit box access that used to be done through desk staff. I also have been unable to get notary service on any occasion since the Shalimar location closed. It is a huge pain to open bank accounts these days with all the Patriot Act issues so I have lived with the loss of service, but I think it’s time to find a new bank.

I have banked here for more than 30 years and continue to be satisfied with the customer service and protection extended to my personal and business accounts.

I moved here 2 years ago. I visited this bank 5-6 times for notarizing even during Covid time. The receptionists were very nice. I don’t remember the receptionist’s names but I do remember Ms. Crystal and Ms. Ryann who notarized my documents. They are very professionally and friendly. I can’t expect more than that. Thanks to Bank of America that has provided such nice staffs/staffers and its service to the customers.
Hi Lin, Thanks for the review! We’re glad to hear about your great experience and hope you’ll consider Bank of America for your future banking needs. ^sam

The comments reviewing, Bank of America,I do not agree with. I have always had a good experience. The staff that are supposedly always “chatting” I have not seen. They walk up to the customers and ask if they are depositing a check, but can not do cash. Customers always stand on the wrong numbers and they direct them to the right ones. If they have an empty lobby and have already talked to them then they will talk. There are three tellers and they do their fastest, but customers give them a hard time And make it slow. They sit there arguing with the teller for just doing their job. As for the holidays, they have been closed because of the holidays which is why the times do not match the sign on the door. You should have asked when they will be closed for the holidays, or ask them to place a sign for when It’ll be closed. That’s what I did to know when I could go in. 🤷🏼♀️
Hi, Kelsey. Thank you for being a valued Bank of America customer. We appreciate the positive review about your experience. ^Joseph

Long lines and long delays ever since I first went there in 2010. I opened an account at another bank because it just takes TOO LONG to do business at this BofA. Every time I went to this branch it was understaffed and/or tellers just walking around thus making you wait far too long for the simplest of transactions. It seems like the tellers prioritize chatting with other tellers over serving customers. I finally gave up on them years ago.
