I came in to cash 2 business checks, and make a personal withdrawal with more than enough funds present in my account. After the first check was cashed, the teller (Siuneh) denied assistance and handed back my second check, with no explanation. The proceeds to tellme to go to another branch to process the same transaction. I wasn’t even provided with a receipt after she “completed” my one of three business transactions (which according to California laws and regulations: 1686, that is illegal). Why would I travel and waste gas to do something at a different branch when I can do the very transaction here? She couldn’t provide me with that answer. I asked to speak to the manager and she mentioned it would be a 20 minute wait. The teller ( Siuneh ) very rudely shoo’d me away from the teller station and called the next person in line without acknowledging my questions or concerns or follow up transaction. I politely said that I haven’t completed my transactions so I am not moving until I get the assistance I came in for. She then told me that I was holding up the line, and packed up her belongings and moved to a different teller station to call the next customer in line. I followed her to the station she moved to and asked for her name, and she said “I have a name tag you can read”. For one, as a former bank teller at Chase, I understand the protected classes of discrimination which is a training requirement upon hire. (race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, or disability) You are not to assume, that just because it’s not visible, that I don’t have a (vision/reading) disability. The branch manager (Steven) noticed the line hold up, and quickly came to assist me. It’s funny how when they are inconvenienced, they act urgently to resolve a matter, but won’t do the same for a customer. Steven the branch manager politely explained the bank policy on cashing checks, which could have been easily explained by the teller. Apparently transactions as such, have to be done together (a policy I’ve never heard of in all my years of banking) Nonetheless, he was able to process my transaction (regardless of the policy) then suggested I complete transactions as such through mobile banking. In what world can you CASH a check on a mobile banking app? None. I don’t appreciate the treatment, and am frustrated that it took a complaint to the manager to get a simple transaction complete. Why inconvenience customers by sending them to another branch? And Please work on better training and hire adequate and professional Bank tellers with proper customer service skills. Siuneh’s attitude is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. It can cost your company a lawsuit.

WORST BANK!!! Wish I could leave no star review. Zero priority to helping the line of customers out the door. Employees doing anything else but come to the windows. And for some reason the USELESS managers allow the one of only TWO tellers leave the window. While we’ve all been in line already for 30 minutes.
Hi Madi, we're very sorry to hear about your experience. We'll be sure to provide this to the leadership of that location and greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. I word - SLOW. Line to see a teller at the window takes approximately 1hr. Only 2 windows are actually working. Rest of the people who “work” in there just hanging out behind the windows and walking around. Everything is super slow. This place need more employees?!

One of the ladies working behind the glass said to use the atm machines instead of going through her. Although I already knew that was an option I wanted to get quarters. She insisted I use the atm even though the atm wouldn’t give me quarters. I waited for like 15 min because she said they were having internet problems. Anyways, horrible experience for my 1st time going to this location.

This is positively the worst bank I have ever attempted to deal with in my 62 years. After trying to open a new account, two visits to the bank, an account which was closed, but not by me, and the Customer Service oxymoron, I walked out and went back to my previous bank. Horrible people, I don't know what this company has done to its employees to turn them into rude drones.

When I went to open an account here, I asked why the customer service rating was so low, the guy told me why. It made sense. You don't have to go into the bank to do most things. Tellers are no longer as needed as before. Do it at home,on your phone or your computer. Their mobile app is amazing. I deposit any checks through the app. With a phone call you could resolve transaction issues. Stop complaint about the number of tellers. Only few people ever need to go inside the bank.

I just had a terrible experience with this banking center. Having just returned from being overseas - where I encountered having my wallet, passport, bank cards and ID stolen - I needed to visit a local branch in order to procure a temporary debit card. I had dealt with financial services over the phone to have new cards issued, but they assured me that once I returned stateside I would be able to go into any banking center and receive a temporary card in the interim. I stopped at this location because it was on my way home - what a mistake that was. Once at a teller station, I presented my Passport that had been issued by the US Embassy as a temporary, yet permissible form of identification (good up to a year from now), along with a voided check that had my name and address on it for further verification. The teller told me to wait for someone from financial services to come and further assist. Fast forward to me sitting in a cubicle waiting for clearance when the FSA returned simply to hand me my passport and tell me they couldn't accept it. I explained that because of the theft I had no other form of identification so I asked what would suffice instead. His answer was, "It needs to be something else - something that was issued here. " I explained, once again, that I had no other form of identification and what was I supposed to do to be able to access my account? He simply shrugged, handed me my passport and said sorry. No further attempt was made to authenticate me, despite my insistence that I needed cash to basically put groceries in my fridge. I left the center, headed to my car, then was given the idea to go back in and use my available identification to simply make a withdrawal from my account vs. acquiring a debit card. So I did just that - I went back inside, stood in line, presented my passport, my voided check, in addition to social security card AND a copy of my driver's license that was stolen (in the event they needed the actual DL#). The teller pushed back the other forms of ID, took the passport, presented it to her manager and once again I was refuted. No explanation - just simply that the passport wasn't acceptable. At this point I am exhausted, frustrated and quite honestly starving. I once again emphatically asked, "What am I supposed to do? I don't understand why this isn't acceptable? I need to access my account - all my other forms of ID were stolen - so what exactly am I supposed to do now?!" The bank manager said I would have to call fraud services and take it up with them because they can't deal with that tissue in-house. On the verge of tears, I walked out of the banking center and did exactly that. I left ready to immediately move my business away from BOA as a result of the indignant treatment I received at the Lankershim Branch. Fortunately, I was able to reach someone over the phone who was willing to go above and beyond to help. Thanks to him and the AMAZING team at BOA West Magnolia branch, the relationship was salvaged. But if it solely depended upon my experience at this banking center - I would have been DONE with BOA. Fortunately, there were some who recognized the value of helping a long time (15+ years) client in her hour of need. Don't bother banking here - unless you need access to an available ATM. The machines have about as much Customer Service acuity and charisma as the bank associates inside.

Do not go to this bank for any type of service. I went in there with a few coins to get switched out for quarters. Just moved here and needed them for laundry. They said they can’t count coins and the only way to accept them is to put them in a bag, wait 7 days and then they count them and deposit the amount....WHAT? She said I could roll them up and deposit them and gave me some rollers. As I sat there for 10-20 mins rolling my coins she just played on her cell phone at the teller desk! Couldn’t help me count literally less than a hundred coins but can play on your phone while making my day more difficult. She said they can do cash all day long but have to verify coins for 7 days. How does that even make sense?????? I’m currently walking down to Wells Fargo and setting up new accounts.

This place refused to give me more than $20 in quarters while admitting they did in fact have them. I have them the option of making the change or closing my account and they chose to lose the account. Terrible service. Absolutely terrible.

I never go inside banks anymore being that so much of my banking is done online. I had to open a new account recently and I was really surprised how great my experience was. The rep that assisted me (Guillermo?), was super helpful and gave me a list of option and recommendations. I didn’t once feel pressured or like I was a burden. I’ve been in several banks where they want you to open up a credit card with them and take out loans, etc... the rep was extremely honest in saying what he though I did and did not need, and never tried to upsell me. I would definitely recommend this location based off the service received tonight. This location does have drive thru ATMs which are great. You just have to drive inside the parking lot to get to them as they are located on the south side of the building. Walk up ATMs are also available on the north side of the building.
