Bank of America was one of the best, But unfortunately they are going down hill, it took me 3 hrs to enter the branch since they use the covid situation to keep outside in cold weather. This is a very poor customer service, it’s time to move my account to a deferent bank.

Horrible. On a Saturday the line before they open is insane. Once they open there is a long line outside, waited over 20 minutes outside only to wait some some in the line inside. They open from 10-1 and no other branches near by. I hate this bank.

    Response from the owner

My experience with this branch was fantastic despite all the previous unfavorable reviews. I went there to make a wire transfer for a new mortgage. It was a short wait before I was helped by Diana, who I was told is the branch manager. She was efficient and courteous. I am extremely pleased with her service. While I was waiting for the wire confirmation, I saw customers kept coming, which made this branch very busy. The staff are all friendly and efficient despite this high workload. I think they are doing a good job.

    Response from the owner

Hi, J Patrick. Thanks for letting us know how helpful Diana was during your financial center visit. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know what we’re doing well. ^Joseph

Coming to this branch reminded me of why I don't like Bank of America. This branch is incredibly understaffed, they have armed security providing unprofessional customer service, and I waited about 30 minutes to just be told I can't make a deposit even though I deposit cash into my family's account every month. Inconsistent standard from the employees and they told me I should go to a bodega across the street to get a money order for 25¢ and then come back, wait in the long socially distanced line again, deal with armed security, and only then can I deposit into my family's account. I will refuse to do business with B of A and I'm advising my family and friends they need to get a credit union account. I would've given one star but at least the teller was nice to me and understood my frustrations. I know they're just following marching orders. Also, this particular branch is outdated and dingy. This review is directed at management/corporate for their poor performance and based on previous reviews, I see I'm not the only one. Edit: I see the management posting here blaming covid-19 for their poor service, and I'm here to say that my credit union hasn't shortened their hours or reduced staffing or closed branches. Requiring everyone to congregate at one B of A branch, in long lines, seems counterintuitive. While I was there, I didn't see anyone disinfect any surface so bring hand sanitizer. Also, further research indicates B of A stopped accepting cash deposits into accounts other than your own as a cost savings decision so they don't have to spend money on federally required anti money laundering enforcement. Chase and Wells Fargo did this too. Apparently the other B of A branch I used to frequent never verified my identity when I deposited money into another account so I guess my lucky streak ran out.

Horrible service! First, they cut hours during a pandemic (people still need access to their money), then they start closing branches. To top it off... their new close time of 4pm, is now 3:30pm. The guard says the manager decides to close whenever he wants...lol. Guess this is the new mom and pop of banks. Most other businesses have returned to normal operations/hours by now, with safety precautions in place. I guess BofA is going to try and milk this pandemic for every penny they can save!? I think banks like this feel like people need them more than they need the customers! If all businesses treated their customers in this manner there would be a lot of businesses going OUT of business. Moving my account to Chase! BTW.. expect to wait at least an hour in line here with all the closed branches, shortened hours.

    Response from the owner

Be careful of any ATM they're putting skimmers on atm machine to steal your info make duplicate cars and drain your account. The bank know this happens has known for 5yrs has done nothing to prevent . Then told me i could have to wait 45days to get my stolen money back. F__k this bank they might as well be part of the scam from the way they act Terrible institution

My mother, 72 years old, went to her branch for a simple deposit and cash withdrawal. Waited in line for two hrs. Just earlier she went to Chase and only took ten minutes. This has been the trend for long time, but worse now. Comparing to your competitors, you guys are a failure in service. I guess you are too big to fail!

Closing Local branches in a city of 166k people. Lines at the 6th street location are out of control. Please ADD MORE TELLERS and extend business hours. BofA is a sinking ship. I have been with them for years, but they have the worst reviews of any major banks.
