They do not know how to handle postal money orders. A bank who is supposed to understand how these things are handled. They just told my friend that the purchaser needs to sign the money order before they can cash it. How incompetent are the people who works here that the manager was involved in this garbage? I bought the money order! I gave it to her! Her name goes in the "pay to" line and she signs the back to endorse it. I don't have to sign it!!!!

I was very disappointed. I have been with Bank of America for a very long time and the banker that helped me was so rude. I have never experienced such treatment at one of these banks before. She repeated herself over and over talking to me like I was stupid but would not listen to the question or find a solution. If this was my first experience with BoA I would never have opened an account.

Disrespectful and unprofessional. I was treated very disrespectfully by an employee this morning when trying to open a new account. I’ve been a BOA customer since the 90’s and have multiple accounts, but this employee made assumptions about me and didn’t seem to think I was a suitable customer. He initially told me I needed to make an appointment because there was no availability today. I asked him to help me make the appointment, and it quickly became clear that was never his intention. He then said “well the best thing for you to do is show up first thing when we open and wait.” I said I’m confused, do I need to make an appointment or come and wait, because I’d prefer an appointment. He then told me he would only make me an appointment if I was sure I would show up. I was stunned. But there are other banks that will welcome my business.

Seven teller lanes, two tellers, LONG LINES. Come on... I stood in line for an hour for something I was unable to perform online. Bank of America isn't a small bank. You've closed almost all of your branches in Wilmington. Hire more staff for this one that remains open at least.... this bank is overflowing with traffic from all your other closed branches. I am seriously considering withdrawing all funds and moving to a bank that actually cares about their client's time.

Been a customer since mid-1980’s. Went to this location today. There were 23 people in line. 19 ahead of me. Moving at a snails pace. Why are the Bank of America locations (2 Branches) on College Road in Wilmington closed? So my problem isn’t really with this branch. It is with Bank of America Corp. First, drive through windows were closed. Then the big location on 3rd Street in Wilmington closed down permanently. Tell me about customer service? Gone way down hill!

    Response from the owner

Hi, Gary. We are doing our best to remain open to serve our clients while implementing changes within our financial centers to follow CDC and government guidelines. As such, some locations may be either temporarily closed or operating at adjusted hours. The last time I was here 2 weeks ago I was told the line was stretched outside because of Covid. Makes sense less staff for safety. No Dt makes no sense to me but ok. I came here yesterday me the wait was too long so I decided to come today and be here at 830am so I could handle my business. At 830 there were already 7 people in line, np but to open late and only have ONE TELLER is absolutely disrespectful and now the line has swelled to 30

BOA closed most of their branches in Wilmington, NC. Unfortunately they did not increase their staffing. So there was a line out the door at this branch. This is terrible service from a major bank. I would give them a zero..I am considering changing banks

The Customer service experience is the worst in banking. Never enough tellers .Drive thru is non existent. Contrary banking rules for account holders vs non account holders. BOA is just terrible I will be leaving soon.

11am this past Wednesday, one teller working with twelve people in line. Stood nearly half an hour before I was helped. Seven windows at this location and the most I have ever seen staffed was 2. Every Saturday the line is backed up out of the front door. Staff is always super friendly but the wait times are plain ridiculous no matter the day of the week. Considering another bank because the skeleton crew and long waits are the norm at several BofA branches in Wilmington.
