    Bank of America in general isn't great but the Scotts Valley branch has very limited hours of service, refuses to make appointments now and doesn't even have a phone appointment option. I want to close my accounts and it seems next to impossible to get it done in person. Their customer service is atrocious. I have moved to Chase and their customer service is amazing especially in comparison to BofA!

    The tellers are rude to customers. They’re also extremely outdated asking customers to fill out a paper deposit slip when you go inside to deposit with a teller… B of A will let you take a photo of a check to deposit on your phone, but in person with ID, there is a paper deposit slip?

    My review has nothing to do with the drive-through but yes with 4 attempts of requiring a new debit card. 3rd of these were by app, what never came and 4th with the website which, guess what? Never came to my address too. I have my address completely right and Idk what’s happening. I really need a new debit card from 4 months ago (or more). Pls, if there’s any report about a delivery, let me know once I can’t even check with the usps bc I don’t know if really had an attempting of delivery.

    If I could give a ZERO star I would. A week ago I paid my home mortgage loan off at BofA Scotts Valley. I was warned by the teller that the amount would more likely be a different amount. Two days later sure enough I was notified by BofA that I had 48 hours to pay off the last amount fees and interest - an amount under $200. My choices were to wire transfer or cashiers check overnight mail. I chose to go to the bank again for the wire transfer ... WRONG choice! Kayla (personal assistant) tried to blow me off the moment I told her what I needed and told me to go to the teller. I insisted and since she didn't have an "appointment" (which is new) she started the process. Here is the kicker, she said, she could not process the transfer to the BofA home mortgage because they did not provide a Country of Origin this was a BofA Home loan. She refused to send it and told me to mail it over night. So off I go to the overcrowded Capitola BofA branch and decided to wait until Monday. Now I am nearing the last day to wire. On Monday, I call BofA customer service and they tell me to go to the bank and wire transfer the amount. So I must me a glutton for punishment and I go back ... what a joke!!! The teller tells me she can't do it and that Kayla can't do it because I didn't make an appointment. I ended up going to my other bank, Bank of the West Capitola and was helped immediately and the teller did the transfer. Moral of the Story ... Because of this horrific experience and customer service I am over dealing with BofA and closing my three accounts at this bank and moving to another professional and customer based bank. Because of this delay my automated payment for my mortgage was taken out of my account. What a MESS Scotts Valley BofA! Update Aug 24th I finally received my overage for the mortgage taken out earlier in the month and was charged $30 dollars for their incompetence.

    This branch has helpful and friendly staff that I have had good banking experiences. I would give it more stars, but Bank of America procedures and policies are trouble some. I regret that I once had a B of A credit card for awhile. Even with no card, I still get offers for credit cards come to with my full name at my residence address when I have a different more secure mailing address (and other banks use just the first and last name for mail). Even emails about credit cards and offers come with my full name. I don't think that Bank of America is up to date on privacy and protecting information. My other credit cards don't use my full name or even a full credit card number. With mail theft and email hacking, I thought that B of A would keep more information private. I even asked to change information on the account with a banker at this branch and they could do nothing.

    This became my local bank branch when I had a falling out from my long time bank, Wells Fargo, who made a huge dumb mistake in my late brother's accounts. They were also totally incompetent in managing his estate issues. It was jaw-dropping bad. In another instance, Wells Fargo couldn't manage to properly transfer ownership of my brother's savings bonds. A Treasury Dept. rep actually told me on the phone that I need a new bank for the routine issue. So I immediately went to this BofA branch who handled the problem in minutes after I opened a new account. BofA has been great ever since either in person at the branch or online. Some people may or may not have issues with BofA and this branch, but I do know that in the scheme of things, they're awesome compared to the nearby Well Fargo branch. It was some work after so many years (e.g., autopays), but I moved all my business to BofA with no looking back. I got an affinity BofA credit card connected to my university so I can help them too.

    Service here is not stellar but it's close to home. So many times, I've been greeted with unpleasant attitudes from the manager.

    There are usually not very many tellers and the last few times I went in the tellers were incredibly unhelpful and very obviously did not want to be there. That being said the people who help you set up accounts and answer questions at the desks are all lovely and incredibly helpful.

    Totally confusing for paying customers. Posted signs are worthless. No mention who is open for atm and more i portantly teller tranactions. Phone answering messages change constantly...often with wordy irrelavant information.
