This is the best bank I’ve been too. My card info was stolen and I went to a different bank for help and they were 1. Super rude 2. Did not help and 3. Said that they wanted nothing to do with it and that I had to call. When I went to this bank I was honestly loosing hope because I’ve been going through so much and no bank was helping. However this bank solved my problem right away and they were super kind and told me exactly what to do and guided me through it. And a special thank you to Shady for being so helpful!

This has been my bank since it started in this location and I have been banking with this institution since 1980s. But first time, I am compelled to write this opinion. They had a covid case and closed down the bank completely. This is in May 2021---when most folks have been vaccinated. They do not have a date when they will reopen. I needed to get into the safe deposit box, they asked me to e mail, but of course no one is replying to that e mail. I really dont think it is safe to have a safe deposit box here, if they are going to close indefinitely on a whim.

The San Felipe and Sage Bank of America branch is one of the worst branches in the city of Houston (and any of the other major cities that I have visited/resided in). It does not matter how busy or slow it is there is always one teller assisting the guests in the lobby with 4 - 5 bankers in their offices. Additionally, for some odd reason the male manager is always hoovering over the teller telling him or her how to do their job instead of him logging on and helping the customers. Moreover, there are various tellers standing around looking aimless and non-caring (they do not look happy to be working there). As an example, on a very busy Friday in June 2016 there was again one teller helping the long line of lobby customers. The same manager was hoovering over the teller, as he always does. To add, there were two more aimless staff members just watching and it was a very peculiar sight. There were five customers in line and when I walked in they looked exasperated, sad, and angry. I ended up leaving without cashing my check that day. To note, the wait is so long that the bank actually put chairs in the standing line so that customers can sit down (I give them partial credit for the chairs, thus the one star ;) but if they know the wait is that long why not get some of the idle workers to help the customers? In my opinion, either the corporate office is responsible for the failure of service or the bank management is horrific. Either way, I do not recommend this bank.

Great upscale bank. Manager Eric was extremely helpful, took care of the multiple issues we needed tackled that day (updates to existing account, new account, deposit boxes, etc). It was a busy day, so Eric and Jodi helped to speed up the process before meeting with Agata to step us through a new account. Overall, everyone was very nice and helpful. Even the coffee was good!

The worst branch I had even meet in the area. Worthless incompetent staff. Initially the have declined to assist me in my case, when after trying unsuccessfully to solve my case (the staff is not open mind, means not out-of-box) game me fillings that I am not valuable customer. They had convinced me that my case insoluble. In fact, using online support, the solution was found and case was solved.

Don't go there if you don't have other option. They are always "busy" and with an attitude. All they want is to sell you a loan. Much better option is west down the road.

The worst financial establishment I’ve ever worked with. Even with a good FICO they wouldn’t increase my credit card and had the nerve to cancel it after 4 years due to inactivity. What’s a grown woman to do with that while having cards with thousands of $$$ limit. Canceling my card was a favor.

One person on drive thru and one teller inside. I've been waiting in line for over 45 mins. And there were 5 people ahead of me. Several people that were in drive thru came inside because we were already waiting 15 mins. Via drive thru. When four people complained to management all he said was that our transactions will be posted today, unfortunately all we can do is wait for the next available teller. For the first of the month their service of a high traffic bank should have more than one teller for drive thru and inside customer service.
