This has to be the worst bank in the country. I am in a customer of Bank of America for over 40 years in Midland Texas and Dallas Texas where I received wonderful service and friendly cooperation on every visit. This location in Santa Fe is run by people who apparently have had little or no training on how to deal with customers. I’ve been in there the last two days trying to see someone about my bank accounts. I waited about half an hour yesterday and a half hour today. There is no sign in sheet and no one asks if you need help. They were very busy with existing customers but they walked past me at least a half a dozen times and never acknowledged that I was there or said they would be there to help me soon. After half hour, a place finally became available and a lady walked in the door and walked right into the space and was immediately taken care of by one of the Bank of America employees. Of course, I left because I was too upset to talk to anyone at this point. I don’t know if I’m invisible or what but I am thoroughly disgusted with this bank! I hope after reading this that someone in charge will give their employees some kind of training on how to deal professionally with their existing customers. This is totally shameful!

Horrible experience today, I’ve never been to a bank where the staff was so unwilling to help customers. The walk up atm was broken and there was no out of order sign, when my wife entered her card, it just dropped into an empty hole in the machine. We brought up this issue with the manager and she would not help us retrieve the card. Instead she told us, “I can give you a number to call for a replacement card.” We asked if we could order it here. And her response was the same, “I can give you a number to call.” Other customers were losing their cards in the atm, and instead of the staff offering help, they just gave phone numbers to call. Others requested an out of order sign be placed on the atm, and their response was that they can’t do that (for a BofA atm)!

Update 2: Came back again for some bank services and the teller and manager I worked with were knowledgeable and uncompromisingly helpful. Updating to 4*. Update: Showed up 15 minutes before close the next and was in and out quick. Teller was friendly and helpful. Still, please guys, pick up the phones. Moving up to 3 stars, leaving original review below: Called 45 minutes before close. No answer. Called 15 minutes before close. No answer. Came by at 3:55 and the place was locked tight.

I had my worst banking experience here at this location. People don’t care for you, very unprofessional. I made an 3:30pm appointment with a personal banker, and showed up 5 mins late, they had me wait at the desk for 10 mins alone and came back told me they can’t help me with anything since they are closing at 4pm. The manager shut her office door refuse to handle the situation. I’ve been a BOA customer for more than 20years, they shouldn’t treat their “value customers” like a sh**t!

If you are a new employee at Los Alamos, looking to open a checking account, avoid Bank of America at all costs. When I received my first paycheck, BofA made the funds available for a day, waited until I scheduled payments from my account (an auto-loan and credit-card payments), and only then put my check on hold and charged me $35 for every ACH scheduled from my account. Representatives of BofA refused to help me and came up with excuses like: "Man, I've refunded too many fees for today. Call someone else or call me back tomorrow."

    Response from the owner

Hello Igor, we value your business and are sorry that you were disappointed. We’ll certainly be sharing your feedback with our leadership team. We use many factors to determine if a hold will be placed on a deposited item and for how long. These factors include your account history, account balances, the maker, the dollar amount, and type of check being deposited. For more details, please visit http://go.bofa.com/deposits and click on “What does it mean if I receive a hold on my account after I have made a deposit” or “How can I avoid having a hold placed on my deposit?” If you need assistance, please reach out to a member of our Social Media Client Care team on Twitter at https://twitter.com/BofA_Help or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BankofAmerica. ^michael

Went in for a cashier's check, 4 people in front of me and only one teller. I waited about 10 minutes and the line didn't move at all nor did the teller apologize or try to get more help so I left. Went back again a week later for same reason (no line!) and cashier's check is $15 which is pricey so I said no which is fine but the teller was snippy with me like I wasted his time. Thankfully I don't have to deal with them in person often...

Do not get an account at this bank or with BOFA. Get an account at any other bank in town. I got locked out of my debit card in the middle of the night trying to get gas while driving from Santa Fe to Albuquerque. Luckily i was able to rely on the generosity of folks from the Pueblo who i asked for help. The branch manager wouldn't even acknowledge me or look me in the eye when i recounted what an incredibly stressful experience this was- instead she hid behind the workers under her and lurked in the background. They did nothing to try to resolve it or persuade me to stop from closing my account. Glad that I'm finally getting a Del Norte account instead. We gave these douchebags 30 billion dollars and in the end paid trillions more to bail out their fraud. I expect to get treated like something higher than pond scum in return when they screw up.

I hate Bank of America - only bank I know of that doesn't accept $100 deposit in cash from a non-account holder, I closed my account 2 years ago because we used their credit card processing services for our business and when a customer did a chargeback BOA did nothing I lost $600 because they say I didn't have a no return policy on the receipt. The customer kep the merchandise for free and they did nothing! I hate them!!! But its the only bank I can send money to family with, so I only use them for that, and they gave me some excuse that they're cracking down on Money Laundering by not accepting cash deposits, and they are literally doing it $1 at a time...so stupid, and to top it off the moron bank clerk had a conversation with me in only English at the beginning and after attempting a cash deposit spoke to me in Spanish - extremely insulting and racist!!! Way to never earn my business again!!!

First, let me preface this by saying this review is for the Bank of America location on Paseo de Peralta in Santa Fe. The service is atrocious! My experience with Samuel Armijo was beyond awful. He told the teller I was with to refuse me service (all I wanted to do was make a deposit) and proceeded to call the police under the false pretense I was disturbing the peace. Utterly ridiculous and unsubstantiated. I already filed a formal complaint with corporate and am awaiting calls back from his manager/branch manager. This treatment is inexcusable. Judging from the reviews on Google, conducting business this was is their specialty.
