    Worst bank in the world! They NEVER give out the correct information. Was told that a cashier’s check would have a hold for a few days, then most of the amount would be available and that the remaining amount would be available a few days later. Now they decided to do an extended hold of 9 days. No one could help. The most irritating thing ESPECIALLY since it’s an IRS refund check. I’m tired of doing business with banks especially Bank of America.

    Worst bank ever. Turns out only 1 person has a notary stamp in the entire Bank. Left after waiting for over an hour without the stamp. Unbelievable, will get all my accounts transfer.

    hold your money for 12 days because they are too lazy to verify funds and are rude when you question them...go elswhere!!

We place a deposit hold while we are in the process of validating a deposited item and collecting the funds. We do not collect funds electronically from other banks as soon as you deposit the check. Time is needed to process the check and for the check to reach the paying bank, then for the funds to be collected.     Worst bank Ive ever dealt with. Called the 800 customer number which directed me to go fill out a form at the branch. There are 4 branches in my vicinity and all 4 have been closed since COVID for COVID reasons (yes, closed for 2 years. Time to figure out how to live with COVID folks, it not going away). So I drove more than a half hour to this location in the snow on a Saturday. I sat with personal banker Sandra and the assistant branch manager. They handed me a 3rd party check writing form to fill out and when I asked questions neither of them knew the answer and said they couldn't advise how to fill things out. I asked for copies of this after I sign them and was told that they are bank documents that I do not have access to. So I asked for a manager, no manager there on a Saturday. 4 branches closed for COVID in the area means that people will flock to this branch and they don't have the sense to have a manager available or the sense to hire people who know how to do there job. This branch needs some serious uptraining. They don't know ANYTHING! This branch has employees but they have employees that could care less about there job or there customers. When I left the branch I called the 800 number again and spoke to Walter. Walter is god send and helped me right away. Tell me why I have been dealing with this now for 3.5 hours and Walter was able to help me right when I called with no form needed? Just shows you that these employees just do not care about there jobs. If Walter can help me they all should have been able to . What a total joke. Its 2022- Get it together Bank of America!

    We tried to open account in 5/3 Bank, Byline Bank, TCF Bank, but unfortunately they didn’t. We have passport and form I-94 from border instead visa, which show that we are legally in USA. But they refused us to open account in bank without visa in passport. We tried to get a list of requirements for new costumers which papers are needed to open new account, but they also refused to give it to us. Conversations with Managers in all this three bank were unsuccessful. But fortunately Bank of America opened account for us without any problems, the bank employee Nick was great, he was very professional, he did his job without any consultations with manager! I wish him good luck on his job!!!

    The ATM in Orland Park Illinois is a joke. The ATM ate my check and gave me a receipt saying it can't process my request and cannot return my item(s)/check. Bank of America held my check deposit because the ATM did not work at the time I was depositing. My money is being held for 45 business days, the claims department did not issue a temporary credit and said they can't do anything about it until July 26th which is 15 business days. They are illegally holding my money without my fault. It is their ATM that has a mechanical issue not my fault or not the merchant's fault, I have all the proof including the ATM receipt that said it cannot return my items. They need to fix the ATM and not illegally hold the customer's money for 45 days. Like other reviews, I will have to report to the police and get my lawyer to sue them if this is not escalated and resolved within the next 2 business days.
