[1 star because that's the lowest; 1 star because people usual complain about banks.] This place needs to change staffing, or just close down for weekends. This is the second time staffing issue has prevented me from getting teller service on a Saturday (12:50pm). They did have a guy to tell me there's no teller service, but he couldn't provide real service. There were customers walking out of appointments, though; do you REALLY want to get a loan from a place that SAYS they'll be there when you need help but not ACTUALLY be there? Look. Staffing issue is understandable. What's not acceptable is keep advertising you're open on Saturdays when you clearly cannot staff enough people for Saturdays. Btw, the Citi and Chase next doors open til 3pm, and they even have tellers. Or does BAC have liquidity problems??

this office has been through a lot of things over the last couple of years. They deserve a good review, especially the Manager (don't know the name of the gentleman).

This Bank of America is by far the worst bank in America! The manager of this bank is extremely rude and very unprofessional. I highly advise anyone not to bank at this location not only are the wait times ridiculous but some of the employees that work at this location are extremely unprofessional. If you want to wait over an hour for a simply transaction then this is the location to go you will not be greeted and if you are it will be by one of there rude employees. I do not recommend this location. Shame on Bank Of America in La Jolla for hiring such rude employees!

Highly disappointed with the customer service by a manger name "Leonardo". I took my sister in law to talk to a "specialist" in order to open her first credit card (simply because Bank of America is her primary bank). Usually as an experienced customer and professional adult, most banks have a manger/teller to assist and point customers to the right direction, or there is a visible waitlist that you can signed up on your own and wait. My sister in law and myself decided to sit and wait and see when we can get assistance (keep in mind its a casual work day off for us and we are dressed casual and comfortable not mention I am pregnant as well). Manger Leonardo came to let us know that his employees are busy assisting customers that are already present (thats cool and we can see that, totally understandable) than he made a pushy comment for us to do an appointment for hours later in the day (fine we aren't ignorant people maybe due to Covid19 there are restrictions, which is understandable). He was so pushy towards us to make an appointment that he did not allow us to discuss if we wanted to wait it out or not (we had no rush, we saw employees are busy, we have the time to wait with no problem); then while my sister in law and I are trying to discuss what to do he rudely makes a comment and question if we are related or not (?) and if my sister in law is more serious than myself, (my sister in law had dental work done and therefore I was majority doing the talking in order to save her that toothache). I looked at him and did not response because I felt that was a rude comment and what does it matter? If we are related or not? What does it mean if she is "more serious"? I know we are wearing face masks and it makes it harder for people to see facial expressions, but its rude to assume anything, maybe my sister in law is shy and just need little help in asking for assistance ? Like you can not assume (something that I have learn in my few years of customer services). Because he was being really pushy in pushing us out and to not "overly wait" (again assuming and judging not knowing we had no problem to wait) my sister in law went to make an appointment; meanwhile another employee reached out to ask me if I had been helped and mention to me that perhaps her next appointment might not show up and that she will call to double check and get back to me (cool, understandable and I appreciate the fact that she would be willing to help us out sooner if possible). So my sister in law comes back and sits down while I explained to her that we could wait a bit and see if we can get assistance sooner, rude pushy manger Leonardo comes to inform us that it seems like the customer will be coming in for their appointment and we shouldn't have to "overly wait" since my sister in law made her appointment for later in the day (wrong she made an appointment for another day, again with the assumptions); he basically said to leave and get out. We felt very uncomfortable, rushed, and at one point felt like we weren't welcomed (maybe because we were dress too comfortable ?), all by Leonardo's actions, rude comments, and assumptions. Good thing this bank isn't my primary bank or anything and will never come back due to the poor customer services. We walked out and I said "guess this bank doesn't want our services"....

I do not Bank with the Bank of America do to past service I have received. A lady friend of mine had wrote me a check. She has an account at Bank of America. So to cash the check I decided to cash the check at Bank of America at this location in La Jolla. I understand that Covid has put some damper on wait times and I am okay with that. The line was long out the door. I was third in line. The tellers seemed very lax with a don't care attitude. I ask the manager if maybe he could help his staff out as they seemed to get stuck a lot trying to complete transactions. Others have expressed the same concern as I. The Managers reply to me and the gentleman behind me was " You have choices.." Which to me sounds like wait or don't wait. If I was a manager I would have said things a little nicer, like " I am terribly sorry for you wait time let me see what I could do". The manager seemed not to care about the line or good customer service. I finally get called up after a 46 min wait. I go to cash the check and the cashier says " Do you have an account with us." I reply no. She then tells me that the charge to cash the check would be 8 dollars. I replied back with a "Really???". She says "No! Account charge". I look at the manager and his reply " You have choices." My choice is to never go into a Bank of America as long as I live. The Bank is the most unAmerican bank I have ever seen. Now its not the amount of the charge that I am upset about. Its the poor customer service. If the manager would have shown some empathy for the people in line waiting I would have said yeah go ahead cash it I'm here. The manager and staff seemed not to care. Please buy your staff calculators maybe that could help. Also give them customer service skills. Google didn't let me give this place Zero stars so One it is.

Thank you to the employees at this branch for helping me make a withdrawal through my phone app. I really appreciate your time and effort in helping my boyfriend and I through this process. Everyone was friendly, polite and efficient. Space is clean and bright. Thanks again!

Very good service. Ask for Marco. Very personable. There was some frustration because of a recurring glitch, Marco troubleshooted it even though it was difficult. Problem solved. Good conversation and sharing pop culture tips. Nice guy. Maybe his five star review will raise the 2.7 review now for the bank location.
