Balboa Pawn Shop Balboa Blvd, Van Nuys

I purchased a high end priced item and it was safely packed and delivered to me overnight. Through no fault of the seller, a hidden problem was then discovered with the item and Balboa Pawn Shop graciously offered to pay for the replacement parts even though I didn't really expect them to do that or even ask. I said it was up to them and they insisted. No haggling, no back and forth just great communication and total professionalism you might not expect from a pawn shop. A much better experience than I've had at so many other so called “professional” businesses in my life. I would definitely go out of my way to do business with them again. I wish more businesses had integrity like this one does.

Great pawnshop, one of the best I've ever been too. The guys here are very understanding and nice here, I am super pleased with my experience. I have been coming here for years, and I have never had an issue. Keep up the great work guys !

Balboa Pawn Shop is like going to a department store with almost everything you can think of. The store is clean and well organized by types of items they offer: tools, musical equipment, collectibles, household items, jewelry, electronics, etc. They were very friendly and helped me get a great deal on a Gallien-Krueger bass amp. I recommend you go there to see for yourself!

I saw an ad for a power tool I needed, and not wanting to pay retail... I went to Balboa Pawn Shop in Van Nuys to check it out... well... it was new! In the sealed box! And at a great price!!! So, needless to say, I bought it!!! The guys were nice! Very helpful, and very patient! They have great stuff, at great prices!

This place is crooked. I pawned an expensive digital camera lens to them. It was in perfect condition. No flaws on the lens no scratches. It has to be perfect or they wont accept it for pawn. I paid my loan off and they gave me the lens back. The guy i dealt with rushed me saying they are closing for the night. I inspected the lens and things looked good. Came home and realized that between the lens there was a hair and a flaw on an interior lens. They took it apart and removed parts or something. And when they put it back together a tiny hair was inside the lens casing. This place will go to great lenths to rob you.

Saw their post on Offer Up and called to ask if they would ship and use paypal. They did both in a timely manner. Package came perfect! Would repeat business.

Undoubtably the best pawn shop ever, I mean in Los Angeles County even. We moved out of the valley but still make the drive because when you must pawn you want to know your stuff is CARED FOR, no doubts here! Fantastic customer service, great values-designer handbags, brass statue, designer sunglasses, every musical instrument... I've been coming here for five years. The guys are awesome!!!! (they are very patient with children, if you have to bring them)

1 my gold cross was bent because they popped the diamond out and put in some something else.. any part there’s a smooth surface looks rubbed like something was taken off.. confirmed with a no receipt bit after paying.. I never told them or asked for anything.. that just was the last time

I've dealt with this pawn shop a lot. I've never have an issue whenever I spend money there or if I pawn something. I usually get my asking price too. It's the only pawn shop I go to. Every other pawn shop I've been too always seems greasy and shady. In short it's a decent pawn shop with people willing to work with and help you. Especially with David and Armen who are a couple of the employees who work there. They're great guys and they're very very helpful.

They keep posting this certain laptop on Craigslist and today I went to go get it and they said it was not there. I drove an hour to get here and it gets me pissed because something told me they weren’t going to have it. I even called before hand if they had it to make sure I was not going to waste my time! But of course my time was wasted. The laptop is still benign posted till this day! Honestly I feel like this place is telling people yes so they can come and when they don’t have it they try to tell you to look at other things so u have no other choice but to buy something.
