This credit union truly doesn't care if they provide good service or not once you're locked into a loan with them. Different customer service reps give you different answers and you practically have to own a fax machine to engage with them. Go with a credit union that accepts electronic signature - usually a sign that their infrastructure is up to date.

It took 45 minutes to get 2 cashier checks in drive thru this week. That was at the Teller window. Not waiting in line.

Parking is limited and getting in and out of parking lot is a choir. Staff is nice. Unfortunately this bank has the worst hours. Phones are not on till 8:30 am or latter and cut off by 3pm. Good luck getting assistance. Why have a bank that with such bad hours. The app this bank has is really bad.

Excellent bank experience! Luis M. got me set up with my business bank account and made the entire process very easy and enjoyable. He's friendly, professional and answered all of my many questions without fail. The last bank I was using had problems and headaches from the start so I was worried about switching, but I'm very happy I did. Thank you Luis! I'm looking forward to using Austin Telco FCU from now on!

I have no idea what all the bad reviews are on here for. I assume it's only people that have had bad experiences are taking the time to write reviews. I've been with this bank for about 5 years. I've had no problems. They are big on security. If you make a few random online purchases or go shopping at the mall, you will probably get an automated call the next morning to make sure your card has not been compromised. Customer service has always been pretty good when I've had questions or problems. 2 times my card has been compromised (I make a lot of online purchases) and they have been helpful, and also provided a new debit card within about 30 to 45 minutes. I'm happy with this bank.

Terrible service from a supervisor. Where do I begin, I was setting up a direct deposit for my job and apparently the account I was trying to get it deposited in was closed. I had been speaking with multiple reps in regards to why my deposit hadn't posted yet and no one with Austin Telco could let me know why. I had to find out from my payroll office that the reason it wasn't going through was because that account was closed. SO after I had realized this was the issue I tried to deposit a check to reopen my account and they informed me that they would hold the check for 9 days and then the account would be opened. This was on Friday and the teller informed me that if I cashed the check and came back that I could deposit the money and immediately open my account. I told her that I couldn't come back that day but SHE TOLD ME that I could come back the following day and they would open that account up for me. So I went back on Saturday but the lobby was closed and the lady at the drive through window told me that they cant open accounts through the drive through and for me to come back on Monday. I expressed my agitation and told the lady that the teller who gave me the wrong information WASTED my time and should have known that this could not have been handled today. I told her that I knew she wasn't the one who told me that info but that my time had been wasted all the same. I informed her that because of all the issues and miss information I had been given by that particulate branch location that I was considering closing my account. I asked her who the supervisor was and she told me that she was the branch Manager and her name was TONY and that she would be MORE THAN HAPPY TO ASSIST ME WITH CLOSING MY ACCOUNT and that she could do it right now!!!!! Appalling customer service!!!!! I cant see my self banking with them if they allow their branch managers to act and talk this way to their members!!!! The location is the one off of 290 and I would not go there if you want good service and knowledgeable people handling your money. You will get neither of these things at the 290 Austin Telco branch!!!!!

My card was compromised and cancelled. I went to the branch on 290 in Austin to dispute the charges and get a new debit card. They close at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so I went on my lunch break. I spoke with a young teller who stated very nonchalantly that it could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to get a debit card. He stated there was only 1 person who could reissue a card and then stated "You came on a bad day". The girl who could assist finished with her customer and proceeded to the back and began chatting, clearly about non-work related issues, to the drive through teller. I asked to speak with her, mind you, I am the only customer in the branch. She refused to come and speak with me. This is unacceptable service and switching banks is definitely on the forefront. I had to go back to work, still without a debit card because I could no longer wait for her to finish her personal conversation.

There are always issues with my translations. I either can’t deposit or cash a check. They seem to come up with a reason why I am not allowed to do one thing or another, ever thought it was perfectly OK only a week before. After this pandemic is over I am moving my banking business elsewhere!

I arrived at Austin Telco drive thru at 1254, when the customer in front of me was finished it was 1259. As I pulled up I was informed that they were now closed. While people in other lanes were being assisted. Thank you for not serving me. Between my money being placed in other peoples' accounts to other issues I'd rather travel to the Austin Telco in Round Rock where I never run into issues.

I dont understand why the service here is SO BAD. Its always something here. A 10 cent check fee ive never heard of, or the lobby is never open on time. And today I found out they apprently dont take change on saturdays. Hows that for a new one? A bank that gives the machine a day off. Crazy. When i go to the south location near lamar I never gave these issues. Its crazy how bad this branch is. 😐
