    In late December 2020 my brother who resides in another state and I went to open a new joint account at the Hendersonville location. I already had existing accounts with Ascend, but we specifically stated that our purpose was to open a new joint account. Upon visiting the Nashville, Charlotte Pike location on yesterday for a different matter, I learned that the new joint account was never opened but instead the Hendersonville guy placed our deposit in my existing account and put my brother on my existing account. Yet he gave us new checks, a new ATM card and account information in December. We left the bank in December thinking we opened a new account, but had not. While the Nashville office is still working to fix the problem, the first guy I spoke with at the Nashville location was not cordial so I requested that someone else assist me. The Nashville branch stated that there must have been a miscommunication problem. Well, we're still trying to figure out how in the "h***' he misunderstood when we clearly stated "We want to open a new account," and we provided all of our information and obtained new documents and information. Because it was closing time and her computer froze up, the matter was not resolved, but will carry over to next week. I had planned to make a deposit into the new account and fortunately had not done so. We had to redo all the paperwork a second time and we even got pinged today to notify us that credit reports were ran on us as if we were applying for a loan, which we were not. We simply wanted to put money into an account the first time around in December and now again in January. Now our credit reports are impacted. Ludicrous!!! TOTALLY DISSATISFIED WITH THE GENTLEMAN AT THE HENDERSONVILLE BRANCH!!! UPDATE: I must commend Lindsay as she promptly followed up first thing Monday morning to resolve the matter. We are most appreciative to Lindsay for fixing everything.

    Worst bank ever. For a place that attempts at having the latest technology. It truly lacks in personnel relationships and useful advances. Their version of a teller is a person in a cubicle on a tiny screen. You would think it would've faster but instead they take longer to access a person not even in the same place as you. The app/website is a joke. First off if you can manage to do anything at all after every wall of verification and lag on theirs site. Go and behold the website doesn't even allow you to manage account safety unless you go to their branch with their short inconvenient business hours. The call center isn't even 24/7. So if your card is lost or stolen you'd pray hard and long no one uses it. B/c there is nothing you can do.

    I was a member of another credit union for 20 years and watch them become more like the Bank of America then a credit union. We ended up at Ascend because of a car loan having a better rate by 3 points... Best move we have done love Ascend

    As another business attempting to bring new business to this ascend branch this will be the first and very last time. Thanks to the loan officer with the completely unkept look (Don't remember his name) that lost his temper on me with me in front of a client. Completely unprofessional. Shame on you.

    A systems upgrade is nice but to literally shut down all bank functions for THREE Days is not good…unable to check bank balances, transfer funds etc.. NOT GOOD.. NOTRE IMPRESSED!
