I just went into Arvest Bank to cash my spouses Economic Impact money. I was not allowed to because he need to be there with an ID. I told he that is is on Oxygen and weak from Covid. The answer I received was “I’m sorry that’s bank policy.” Yea your sorry alright, my husband is sick and that’s impact money if you’re effected economically. Well he wants to pay our bills and can’t because you have a POLICY that makes No Sense what the money provided is for. You are Dirt! That’s why I don’t use this bank ! A darn good reason!

I’ve been a customer of Arvest for 10 years and at first they worked out really well but here recently they haven’t. My saving account was closed for taking money out of it to often , I kept a steady flow of about $500 in there and never let it drop below that. Still , they closed it without telling me. Recently My card was about to expire and I called the bank letting them know and asking them if they had sent my replacement out and they said yes. I waited and waited and I never got it. I had tickets to go to a formula 1 race in Austin Texas and I still hadn’t got my card so I went to the race and I couldn’t use my. See cause it had expired.... so I had to drive about 45 minutes to the nearest Arvest and get cash out and currently I still don’t have my new card and my online subscriptions are failing because my payment isn’t valid. I went to the Arvest here in town and the guy wasn’t much help. He started asking me why my card wasn’t working after I specifically told him it was expired I mean.... dude.... it’s your job.... just look at the date on the card.......

The bank manager Penny told my ex-wife about me transferring money from my personal account into my daughter's account. We are considering moving to a different bank and will let family and friends of this bank know if they dont do something about her

For the last few years, I have had no problems. As of this week, that has changed. I do not personally have an Arvest account, but my employer does. Cashing my check has never been an issue... until now. I go through the drive thru, as I usually do, and am asked by a teller who has waited on me more times than I can remember, if I have an account with them. I say no, and am asked to come inside. I go inside and then I'm asked for a second form of I.D. Mind you, my drivers license is in the teller's hand, and it is valid. I have to go back to my vehicle, grab my social security card and go back in. Well, that was satisfactory and my check is cashed. When the teller counted the money back, it was short by only $5.00. But, me thinking it was a mistake, I said, it should have been XXX amount. That's when I'm told that there is now a fee to cash my check. Needless to say, I was very displeased with this. Two forms of I.D. plus, oh we charge now. I understand the teller was doing their job, I also understand security issues dealing with bank/money. In my opinion, if any financial institution is going to be this strict, I want no part of it, period. You don't make someone feel embarrassed to "enforce" rules that supposedly went into effect July 15th. If anyone is thinking of opening an account, better make sure you have your I's dotted and your T's crossed because they will nit pick not only you, but your personal information, i.e. social security card. I was not at all comfortable with them accessing my social security number when they already had ALL the information needed on my driver's license!! I have never been treated this way and rest assured I will not be darkening their doorstep! Very disappointed.
Hi Cindy, we’re sincerely sorry to hear about your recent experience at our Okmulgee branch. We have recently made the decision to charge a $5 fee to cash checks drawn on our bank for non-customers. It was a tough decision to make, and we did not make it lightly. However, we would like to apologize that you were not made aware of this fee before your check was cashed. We understand your concern about the new ID requirements for cashing your check, but we are putting forth an extra effort to verify the identity of all non-customers cashing Arvest checks. We are doing this by asking for two forms of ID from anyone who doesn’t have an Arvest account and wants to cash an Arvest check. But we did want to let you know that there are 20 other forms of identification we will accept besides a Social Security Card such as a U.S. Passport, Employer ID Card or a Debit/Credit Card. In the event that you have any questions regarding this change the associates at your local branch are happy to help or you can call us at (866) 952-9523.

Arvest in Okmulgee is great. I really enjoy the staff and their smiling faces Brooke and Vicky in particular. Michelle Hunnicut is very informative and does a good job of finding ways to benefit the Arvest customers. By far my favorite branch.
John Morris Great! John, we're so happy that you had a good experience at Arvest. We appreciate you taking the time to give us a review. Thank you!

They are the worst bank in okmulgee county!!! They will take your money and not care that they did. They took my paycheck and caused me to fall behind in bills by illegally not informing me of certain “rules” you have to follow then didn’t care that they didn’t tell me.
Gaming Dad, we are truly sorry to hear about this. If you would let us, we'd like to listen and learn more about your experiences. Would you please email [email protected] with your full name, and phone number so we can have management follow up?

The tellers are very polite and respectful. Officers were helpful and patient.
Marie - Thanks for sharing your experience! It's a pleasure serving you!
