I had banked with Arvest for over 15 years and was initially very happy. But over time the customer service declined rapidly. They refused to sell me change because they suspected it was for my business and I did not have a business account there. I DID have a checking account, money market account, and 3 savings accounts. At some point one of the savings accounts went dormant. I thought all the accounts were linked so that could not happen. They were charging me $5 month! For the dormant account. When I asked for the fees back, they refused even though 2 tellers said they return fees all the time. I activated the account by withdrawing money only to find that they withdrew money from a different account so that they could keep charging fees to the still-dormant account. When I found out, I again asked for the money to be returned and again was told no by the account person who said the branch manager (who refused to come out of her office) was clear! I closed every account that day. It was not much - $25,000 to $30,000 but they would have rather kept $100 (or whatever) in fees than maintained a long time customer.

This has happened to more than once so that's why the one star . I brought a check in to cash and the teller has to verify the check , makes a call to the writer with no answer and slides back the check and says they can't cash it. Really , it's your check , where else am I supposed to go ? Shouldn't a senior staff or manager get involved to verify it ? Do you guys not realize now we have to drive back to work , try to get someone to verify the check then drive back to the bank . To slide the check back and say we can't help you is not costumer service. I suggest you open a dictionary and show your entire staff the definition of " costumer service " .

EDIT: 71st & SHERIDAN Arvest Branch, Not The Elm Branch in Jenks!! No customer service at 71st & Sheridan on 2/4/22. I was in the commercial lane at 4pm today, with another Arvest customer ahead of me for several minutes. When they were finished, and it was my opportunity to make a cash deposit for a landlord real estate customer, the Arvest drive-thru teller verbally refused my deposit stating "they closed at 4PM due to inclement weather"!! Then she points at a taped sign in the bank window saying they were closing at 4 pm due to inclement weather. Really?? She refused my deposit and stated she would get in trouble if she accepted it!! WOW My vehicle clock was 4 PM exactly, but she verbally stated her insideclock said 4:03 PM. In frustration, I told her I would post a negative online review regarding this "Rudeness and Poor Customer Service), her reply was "that's fine". She finally admitted they were closing early because of only 2 employees inside... I guess 2 employees are enough until 4PM, but NOT A MINUTE after 4 PM?? You kidding me?? Since my customer needed their rent deposit available today, I drove to Arvest 101st & Sheridan, and voila they were open and that teller stated until 6 PM today. Why didn't inclement weather cause this location a problem too (well, because there wasn't inclement weather today). Very poor service that Arvest closes early (a supervisopr or management employee could have stepped-in to work the drive-thru window) or the teller at 71st Street could have at least recommended that I go to 101st & Sheridan for my cash deposit (but, they can't suggest that to a customer, if the excuse is inclement weather). After 2 Arvest locations to make the above customer's deposit- I then made 2 additional deposits for other landlord customers at Bank of Oklahoma and Chase Bank. Neither of them were closed at 4:45PM (due to Arvest's hilarious excuse of "Inclement weather"). So for my business, this landlord customer, and any future customers, I will recommend Bank of Oklahoma, Chase Bank or another bank for their banking needs!!

I’ve been in the drive thru line for 30 minutes while the tellers assist one person. This is by far the worst Arvest in town. I can’t wait to switch banks. I’ll be doing so after Memorial Day. This is too common if an occurrence.

UPDATE: They are on top of it now, and I appreciate it vastly. Bumped my review up for good management. So the past 6 times I've been to this location, I had one simple request: the balance after the withdrawal, since I don't have online access to this account. "Sure, no problem!" they happily say. Any time beforehand that this simple request was fulfilled, they manually wrote it on the withdrawal receipt. Other locations have the ability to print it off. The point is that they don't even bother to give me a balance on this account anymore, despite claiming that it's "no problem". This isn't just one worker, it's literally all of them, just neglecting this simple task that truly affects my finances.

We pulled into the drive thru and granted it was busy but cars all around us were pulling in and being helped and leaving while we sat there in our vehicle. The lady took our deposit and we sat there for over 30 minutes! There were 3 people working with 5 lines of cars. And their customer service was awful! We have both personal and business accounts with Arvest but are seriously reconsidering this after today’s fiasco!

Plan on spending an hour in their painfully slow business drive thru with a line of cars. I have to deal with this WEEKLY! I see others have complained on this same issue and the bank merely only pays lip service to it. I think the employees are in there laughing at me wondering when I will leave so they wont have to take care of as many customers.

UPDATE: I met with the branch manager today and got the issue resolved. She explained to me that I would need to sign an additional form for the Treasury department and that my $100 would be deposited into my account. The manager was very professional and courteous to me in order to resolve this issue. Yesterday, I went to the Jenks Arvest bank and withdrew $500 out of my personal account, the bank teller himself gave me 4 100 dollar bills and 5 20's. Today, I took the SAME 4 100 dollar bills back to deposit into another account and was told that 1 of the 100's was counterfeit! As a result of an Arvest teller employee passing me a fake bill, I have now lost $100! The head teller had the audacity to tell me that since I left the bank, they have no way of verifying that it was them who gave it to me! I am sooooo MAD. I think on Monday, I'm going to go into the bank and close ALL my accounts at Arvest!
We're truly happy to help you, Sam! Thank you for the update!

Coming to the bank is such a chore now. I’ve been sitting in my car in line for 30 minutes now. Last time I came, it took 45 minutes to get through. When I get here, there were 5 cars in line. Now I’m the 3rd. I don’t understand why it is taking so long. Across all the lanes now there are 10 cars. None have moved in over 10 minutes.

Edit: the brach manager addressed the situation. I have been banking with Arvest for as long as I can remember, and I have been to many different branches. This one has the WORST customer service. I have been there the past two days, and after being given wrong information when I called before he first visit, and having them totally ignore me and help customers who arrived after me when I came back with the information they requested, I won’t be going back there...
Kayla Reinhard, We’re so sorry to hear about this. We’d like to discuss it with you. Could you please email [email protected] with your phone number so we can have local management follow up?
