We used Republic for over 10years. And LOVED them!!! NEVER had any issues. But when Armstrong took over I decided to switch to a credit union. Unfortunately this was during the pandemic and stimulus checks were being deposited in accounts that were attached to tax returns so I HAD to reopen the accounts. I left $5 in one account and $75 in another account and today 02/01/22 out of no where I get a text message alert that there was a $5 transaction. Of course, I call because I don't have the account numbers or login information any longer and they tell me that there are fees for not using the accounts. Excuse me, there has been fees charged and an account was closed but NO alerts, emails or letters until today?? DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK. Apparently they are known for taking your money without any notice!!!

They never replaced my checks after the "merger" and now the same people are trying to sell me more checks at insane prices. Use a different bank, I'm planning on switching. "at merger all personal accounts..." I had THOUSANDS of checks, you people sent me THIRTY. These people are literally thieves. The best part is that those 2 thousand or so checks are still registered in their system, when I called and we talked about ordering more they mentioned that I'd be on check 2000 and something, almost like it's the EXACT SAME BANK TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE.

Used to be Republic bank and their standards are still the same, the service and bank tellers were friendly, professional and helpful. I loved Republic Bank and I know alot of business people whom introduced me to Republic and they have no complaints about the change over & that was reassuring. Recommend Armstrong/Republic bank w/the highest of regards. We keep it in the family. Tiffany's Restaurant, Redemption Lawn Care personal Growth and Pizza King are family business accounts we carry through Armstrong and my family sticks with what is solid, true and just plain old good business. I was with republic for 6 or 7 years. They where awesome. Had hard times they worked with me. Now Armstrong takes over. No heads up just here you go. I had $6.87 been in there since they took over. This month $1.87. Fined me $5 for not using account. No letter phone call no email. Just took $5. Gotta have work to put money in the bank. So its all good till you get down on your luck. Then they will make sure to take your last penny. They also closed my account and took the $1.87. GREEDY

I used to deal with republic bank for business and personal and really loved them. But I have to say I have never encountered a bank as inept, mismanaged and with worse customer service than this one. To think these incompetent people are aloud to handle other peoples money is disturbing.

This bank gets to decide if you are allowed to spend your money with a merchant. I was trying to buy skincare from Korea. Verified it was me making the charge with the bank using their app. I also called the local branch on Main Street in Norman. CSR made a note and said the fraud alert was removed after I verified my information, the charge amount and name of the store. This was a small transaction. After going back and forth with the outsourced Armstrong Call Center, the outsourced Fraud department and finally getting in touch with a local banker over the last two days my small transaction with my debit card was still blocked. I was told Armstrong did it for my own protection. Um? No, I do not want a bank deciding what stores I am allowed to shop at or how I am allowed to spend my money. Craziness. I added a screenshot of their message under photos. Don't do business with this bank because the local bankers have zero authority and everything outsourced is beyond any human's control. Update: Thursday I spoke with a Norman Banker and Friday I spoke with a Norman Banker. In both conversations I confirmed the name of the merchant and the exact amount of my purchase. They could not help me resolve this issue. I successfully processed this transaction with an account at my husband's bank. My husband and I both have (soon to be closing) accounts at Armstrong. I understand verification of transactions for customer protection, especially with international merchants. This wasn't an issue of verification. I did that multiple times. This was Armstrong Bank deciding I can not use my money to make a (verified) purchase for my own protection. Armstrong's response to this review is to talk to the local market president. The local branch manager has already confirmed it's corporate policy to decide where I'm allowed to spend my money. If Josh was able to assist me I think that would have happened. I made my purchase with ZERO issues at BOK. Why would I keep my money at Armstrong to have their corporate decide what I'm allowed to do with my money?

We've banked at Republic for at least 40 years. My family is neither prominent nor wealthy, yet we are treated politely, even kindly, by the staff. Regardless whether I'm trying to figure out a question on my statement, or merely getting a cashier's check, I am always helped with the utmost courtesy. And this is the way they treat ALL their customers! Love the folks at this bank.

If you need a business account this bank is NOT for you. The staff is not equipped to answer important questions about the business accounts and will give you inaccurate answers. You will not know you have a $1000 limit on your BUSINESS card until it’s too late. You will find yourself at the lumber yard MULTIPLE times unable to buy material you have already loaded because your limit can only be temporarily raised and well it’s 7:30 AM and they won’t be in till 9AM. You will be told there is NO mobile deposit limit when there’s actually a very small limit. Those were my main concerns with getting a new business account. I asked those questions along with a few others and just got whatever answer got me in the door apparently. I hate to say it but you’re better off at one of those big banks if you’re running a business.

Our vehicle got stuck in the snow on the way out of the drive thru, and four gentlemen came out and pushed us to safety! Went to hell in a handbasket after Armstrong took over. They cannot seem to do simple tasks. AND THEY TOOK AWAY THE POPCORN!!! This is all reminiscent of Regal taking over the Warren theatre.
