    I've been with ACU for about 8 months now and they've already done more for me in that time than Wells Fargo did in 3 years. I seriously cannot overstate how much better this institution is that WF. Anyways, they managed to get me a credit card as well as some tips to improve my credit and a small loan. All in all I am SO GLAD I moved my account here and really appreciate ACU and their staff.

    My father passed away a few months ago and I am in charge of handling his estate. I have had to deal with at least 15 different companies and this financial institution has been the worst. They refuse to recognize the court documents I have provided them and have made it impossible to finalize his accounts. They have taken money out of his account that was not authorized. They have lied to me and continued to give me the run around. I have worked for banks and credit unions for the last 15 years. DO NOT USE THIS INSTITUTION.

    Dear Ms. Atkiss, I want to start by saying that I am incredibly sorry for your situation and wish your efforts had been easier over the last couple of months. I will come back to an explanation as to our limitations, but I wanted to begin by offering to get a member of executive management with you. I know you have been working with several members of our staff, but our AVP of Operations will be the most knowledgeable person available and he will work diligently to get you to the best possible solution. As to your review, I want to start by explaining some general limitations that you have expressed frustration over. ACU has to abide by both privacy laws and policies that are dictated by the account agreement our members sign. In some situations, as difficult as it is, we need to follow certain procedures and precautions to ensure that we are acting on behalf of the member’s wishes. In a situation like this, we look to the written requests of the member as the primary guide and then rely on the legal process that follows. While perhaps tedious, this process makes sure that we are accurately administering the account as it is set up. As for documentation, we have to be 100% sure that everything arriving at the credit union is legitimate. I know that is not as detailed as you would like, but, again, I would like to put a better representative in touch so that we can explain the details of your situation.     Poor service. ATM is not avail after hours. They have bank door locked and ATM in area that was once accessible and then the door to the bank, however now you can't even access ATM.

    Hi Tulle(?), I am incredibly sorry about the ATM hours. Unfortunately, that area has had some recent struggles with vagrancy and we had to reduce the ATM hours to ensure the safety of our members. It is not a decision that we came to lightly, but felt it necessary. Daytime traffic in the area changes significantly and we have much more control of the building during business hours. That said, we take all of these reviews seriously and use them to improve our services. I will be creating additional signage for the area that will help people find the closest, free ATMs. We pay for you to use the Service Center network which includes 30,000 ATMs across the nation and hundreds in the Denver area.     This company has been soo great to me. Always works with me but today i had a bad experience not that its the whole banks fault. I did have a lady start to argue with me. Sometimes a little white lie can turn into something bigger. She told me a payment had come out in the morning even though it didnt. Causing my bank to go into the negative. Although they took the fee off, it did hurt my feelings that they would lie and then turn around and say it was my fault. Thank you for all the other times you worked with me but it would be nice to have consistency.

    First off, the place is always 100° Secondly, the staff is not all that friendly nor knowledgeable. We were told we couldn't open an account for my wife because she had no SSN, but a Visa would be ok! Unreal, we opened an account at Community Bank in less than 10 mins with her Immigration Card, which is much more applicable than a Visa. Unreal.

I will absolutely make sure that management is made aware of the situation. While I’m not the best representative when it comes to account processes, I can tell you that we are guided by credit union policies and regulations like the Patriot Act that can make some accounts harder to open. We often also have tighter restrictions specifically because we are not-for-profit. We are managing our members’ money, so we will tend to be on the more conservative side with our internal processes. Of course, that certainly isn’t to say we didn’t make a mistake or have an opportunity to improve. Again, though, I am not the best person to help resolve this issue.     My husband and I purchased an RV a few years ago and this CU stepped up to finance us with very good interest rates at the time. We have recently gone through some intense financial situations as I was in a bad car accident a few years ago and had to take on major medical bills etc. I needed help this past month and the representative I spoke to, Matt helped give me some financial info and guidance.     This is the only google review I have ever posted. Horrible experience with these people. If you are waiting for GAP insurance to pay off a car loan with Arapahoe CU, even as Arapahoe CU KNOWS they are waiting on that money and can see in their system who will be paying them directly the remainder of the loan, they will call you, bully you and threaten to damage your credit if you refuse to pay out of pocket. And when you refuse to be bullied and ask them to wait on the GAP payment, they’ll continue to bully, ignore your request and follow through with their threat to damage your credit. Appalling. I have filed a dispute with a credit bureau. Do NOT do business with this institution.
