I arrived there today at 5:45pm and handed my ID and check to the lady behind the counter. She looked at my check and said they don’t cash checks after 10 days from the date on the check.... The check itself says valid for 110 days. So I don’t understand why she couldn’t cash it. Maybe because it was 15 minutes before closing and just didn’t want to? Just Makes no sense to me.
I am the general manager and I apologize for your negative experience at one of our stores. Please know that customer service is our number one priority. We do have ten day policy if we are not able to contact the maker to verify that the check is ok to cash. We enforce this policy because although checks are good to cash beyond that, most are returned with a stop payment after ten days. The teller at the window should have called me to verify the check. Please reconsider coming back again and we will wave the check cashing fee on your next check.

This has to be the worst check cashing place of all time. I literally showed up 20 minutes until closing and the woman at the window denied me! Because she was getting ready to close. 🤔 If your open until 6:30, and it’s 6:10 why are you denying services to a paying customer. These are such bad business practices, I am never going to step foot into such a LAZY establishment!

I've been coming here for a few years now. I have NEVER had a bad experience with the service until 4/3/17 . I walked in at 5:40pm, I walked up to the counter and the cashier was using the money counter. She glanced over at me and sucked her teeth and says "wait a minute" I was taken back by her rudeness and replied " okayyyy, no problem". I then placed my check and ID in the slot and she glanced at it and sucked her teeth ONCE AGAIN! She then takes the money out of the counter placed it down and snatches my check and ID from the slot! I asked her "I'm sorry is there a problem" she looks up at me and says "I don't have a problem!" I told her "well it sure looks like you do, you snatched my check and ID, if you have an issue give me my things back and I'll take my business elsewhere" she then tells me "well I was counting money to close up when you came" I then told her, "Okay, but there was still 20 minutes till closing time, and I do NOT have telepathic abilities, I just walked up to the counter and you immediately received me with a nasty attitude! She then proceeded to deny giving me attitude! I then asked her for her managers name she very nastily blurts out with head motion says "YADIRA !!!" And pushes my documents back to me, So I told her "I've been coming here for a while and have never had to deal with NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE and if you don't like your job QUIT!!!!!!! I will NEVER return to this check cashing place!!!!

No option for no stars. I just left the store and my boyfriend comes here all the time and always did on Saturdays and the said they couldn't cash my check because it's the weekend and told me to come back Monday. The girl wasn't rude to me but what's the point then I'll just go to the bank on Monday and cash it. The only reason I needed it was cause the bank is closed on weekends. Not fair my boyfriend here to check it and I told her its my first time here and she said I can't. Don't know if they just didn't want to cash it but whatever.
In response to your negative review, the employee who took care of you was only following store policy. We have become a target for fraud with numerous counterfeit and bad checks, therefore verifying every check is our only defense.

I went into the store yesterdaysz with a very complicated issue the woman behind the counter I think her name is Susan was so helpful n patient with me her positive attitude was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day n her style was impeccable I look forward to doing future business

i have been coming to this kearny location for about a year an always dealt with the Puerto rican young lady an never had a issue, i have watched this lady go above an beyond several times.its sad that there so many hateful ppl to sit there an wish for anyone to lose there jobs these ladys have alot of patience an deal with alot of ignorance at times,April marks this lady has more potential then you will ever have and that is coming from a personal level,you walked into that location 3min before closing maybe you should have went at a normal time of business. you should never talk about someone when your in a sad situation i hope these ladys dont ever lose there jobs for ignorant ppl see you soon ladys have a beautiful week **manda**

After talking to Manager Freddy Martinez it was explained in a very polite and considerate manner that there was a problem with the employees that worked on Sunday. I appreciate that he took the time to call and offer the explanation which would give me reason to return.

First time in this store and all i get is an unprofessional girl who rather do her hair at work then get my money. Management cant be far behind if they put their trust in such a person. This is not how you run a business... NEVER AGAIN!!!

Sign outside saying opened on sundays 9am-1pm. Came to the store at 12:30pm n its closed. Tell me why have a sign if u dont follow it , stupid
