Having car issues and repairs can be a very stressful process, but the folks at New Town Automotive take care of you. They are the only people I trust to work on my car, and they are always able to put me at ease throughout the whole process. I have lived in Virginia for the past three years, and have had numerous visits to New Town Automotive, and the customer service there is outstanding. Everyone there works hard to fix the problem and help you out. I never felt like just a customer there; I felt like a part of the family. I HIGHLY recommend this establishment for any and all automotive needs.

$90 dollars for a oil change ?! Absolutely outrageous. My car dealership is cheaper then that. Nothing but a bunch scammers here. They do extra stuff and then don’t tell you what they did until it’s time to pay. I asked for a oil change. Not all that extra stuff.

The first time I brought my car here was for an inspection, which was fine. The man I dealt with seemed very polite, and I had no issues. Recently I was having trouble with the valve stems on my tires, and the regular place I go was booked so I thought I'd bring it here. The place I usually go said it's usually under $30 for valve stem replacements depending on how many/ the issue. When dropping off my car at New Town Auto I asked about how much it would cost. The gentlemen (a different older man who seemed a little shifty) behind the counter said it could cost about $150 each if it needed to be replaced and $125 for all 4 if needed to be "reset". As I already did some research on price, I decided to take my car to a Good Year tire shop who said they could do it for little to no money depending on the issue. I ended up paying $8.50 at Good Year, I am glad I decided to go somewhere else.

There's no better option for automotive services in the Tidewater area. They're MILES ahead of the competition. I was looking to replace 4 tires and called around to over 5 different automotive shops for estimates, recommendations, and in stock brands. I called NewTown several times over the course of an afternoon for answers to my questions. They assured me they'd give me the best price, quality, and service. I decided to give them a shot after looking at their google reviews and seeing how many other people were fans. I showed up and they had an open bay for me right on time. They immediately began working on the car and had it serviced in no time. They washed my car for free, offered rotations/balance for life, and Jerry/Adam small talked while they worked on my car...all at the BEST PRICE I found. I've been taking my car to the Honda dealership for oil changes and simple maintenance and been satisfied, but I've been so impressed with today's work and quality of care that I'm moving all my business to Newtown Automotive. Continue to raise the bar and set the standard for quality, service, and putting the customer first. THANK YOU.

Mr. Parker and his team at New Town Auto are great. I've been taking my vehicle here for about a year and a half. If I had to describe the business in one word, it would be "fair." Sometimes, services and repairs can be a hit high, but Mr. Parker and his team always provide honest advice on what is truly necessary, and are even willing to work with you on the price. The guys at the car wash point work their tales off. We love having a neighborhood mechanic and would recommend New Town Auto to anybody in the area.

Nice, clean shop. Staff is courteous and professional. If you need your car serviced, state inspection or car repairs, this is the shop for you.

I went here to get my transmission flushed at 75k before taking a road trip, only to have my transmission blow out 35 miles down the road in the same day. the dealer said the "wrong fluids were used causing high temps" , no actions were taken to give me a refund "we have a warranty", but could not get in touch with a company that was able to approve the "warranty". long story short my vehicle was towed to a dealer and my transmission was replaced by the dealer properly. No effort by this company was made to make amends even after speaking with the owner.

These guys are OUTSTANDING! I took my Subaru to a different state inspection center that failed it for an "exhaust" leak, which wasn't true. I then took it to New Town Automotive for a second opinion (before paying to "fix" it) where it was given a thorough inspection and a clean bill of health. They are courteous and honest and I will trust them with all my business from here on out! Thanks Jerry!

I had a great experience at New Town Automotive. The manager was courteous and professional. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. The prices are reasonable and after you get your work done they was your car.

Let me tell you something: I'm 61 years old and this is the auto service place I've been looking for my entire life. Their attitude towards service is like a throwback to a mythical earlier generation when all businesses were local, they cared about the quality of their work, and they treated you as though they wanted to earn your business for the next time around. I'm not sure that businesses in earlier years were ever really like that but these folks are. You leave feeling as though you've been genuinely taken care of, as though you wouldn't be in better hands if your uncle owned then joint. Anyway, doing business here was such a pleasure that I was eager to get online and write about it! I recommend this place without hesitation and without reservation.
