    I went into the branch nervous about refinancing on my auto loan and when I finished with everything I left satisfied and was very thankful for the teams help! Kevin and the other associates were very professional, kind and made the experience quite pleasant they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied and that all my needs I came in for were met.     Never even use these guys. We bought a new car and did our loan with them and then they tried to force insurance on us even tho we already have our own insurance. When we tried to call and talk to them we couldn’t reach anyone to see WTH was going on. Horrible experience and this is my 4 new car and I had never this happen before. Won’t be using them again ever and looking to refinance my car loan with someone else even if I have to pay more not to deal with them anymore.

    I purchased a vehicle and the loan was financed through Alaska USA. I am a new member and up to this point am not impressed. I received a letter regarding the need to provide proof of insurance which is completely normal and understandable. I confirmed with my agent that he had submitted it but Alaska still claims to not have any records so I resubmitted it myself. They still claim to not have any records even though I received an email confirming they received it!?? They literally have a dept. dedicated to Loan Insurance. Their customer service in this dept. is absolutely horrible, rude and worthless. I believe it is worth noting that I have excellent credit and have qualified for the lowest rate they offer but after a couple interactions I am ready to refinance at another institution. There are a ton of Banks and Credit Unions that would love to have your business so shop around and beware of Alaska USA. I have read other reviews that have had this same exact problem so it is not an isolated incident. It is obviously a process they need to improve upon themselves.

    Just got a car loan with them, I was trying to setup automatic payment & it actually made a payment for the day I was doing this instead of date I was trying to set. I couldn't cancel payment online, called Alaska USA & they told me they use a 3rd party Propay to take payments and that he couldn't help me and he didn't have their phone number!! I'm not impressed with their customer service! Unfortunately my husband also just got a loan through them also!!

    This is by far the worst bank I have ever felt with. They will do anything to add insurance to your loan. I received several letters stating they need proof of auto insurance. This is after nearly two years of paying this loan and no recent change. I have tried to prove I have insurance but nothing works. Now I get a bill. This is after contacting them to simply payoff the loan as this is the only department you can speak with. The only thing to do now is warn everyone I can.

    On Aug 27 my account was hack. The thief made a purchase on Facebook Marketplace. I have never had a face book account or any other form of social media. I filed a fraud claim in which it took 5 weeks to get my money back in my account. Changed my account numbers and got a new debit card. I have no loans or credit cards with them. I opened this account after buying land in Alaska for retirement planning to bank with them long term. Today, Oct 9 I got a notice in the mail from Alaska Credit union stating after further investigation they have determined the purchase was not fraud and they removed the money from my account I have filed another fraud claim. I’m done with Alaska Credit Union as soon as this is resolved.

    I have been a member at Alaska USA for a little over a year now. Their customer service is unmatched. Everyone at the Salmon Creek branch is so friendly and nice. They have great rates too. I have my auto, mortgage and credit card with them because they offer low, competitive rates. I'm also saving over a thousand dollars a year on my car insurance because of the free insurance quote they did in the branch for me.

    Everyone there is very friendly and helpful especially Chris Cato, the branch manager. He really helped me in when I came in for an auto loan this past weekend. I didn't have to haggle with the salesperson at the dealership and he told me the current value of each car I was looking for so I could make a move informed decision. They also do insurance so I'm going back to have quote me on my car insurance and homeowners insurance.

    Today i was helped by Aaron. i went in to get a loan to buy a truck which didn't happen.(my faults not theirs) but i was there for a good 2 hours. even through it didn't happen i can still say i got the best customer service from Aaron and other team members. I highly recommend Alaska USA federal credit union to anyone looking for easy going and motivated people, who are actually interested in helping you get the loan you need.

    I absolutely love banking here. I honestly would never bank elsewhere again, customer service is always top notch, the tellers are always smiling. I never leave here dissatisfied or unhappy. If you're setting up an account, or looking to add anything to a preexistant account, I highly recommend asking for Chris. He is patient, answers questions fully, and completely. The only thing I dont like about Alaska USA right now, is they dont have an oregon location, so I'm usually stuck with a minimum of an hour commute per direction. Open one soon!
