    In any of my interactions with Ace Ford, I've come away less than impressed and/or disgusted. 1st interaction 2006: I was a salesman at another local dealership. I had sold a customer a pre-owned Ford Expedition. As part of the deal, he wanted Ford OEM floor mats for it. So; I ordered the mats from Ace Ford and was told it should only take "a few days." A few days come and go and every time I call Ace Ford, I'm told "they haven't come in yet." It's now 2 weeks later and I call and get the same excuse. 1 hour later, my customer comes into the showroom, holding an empty Ford floor mat plastic wrapper demanding to see me and my manager. Apparently, he went in and asked for a set of floor mats, and they happened to have a set in stock (they must have miraculously come in),which they were all too happy to sell to my customer at full list, making me look like a buffoon and a liar. Needless to say, their parts manager didn't lend himself much credibility when our parts manager and I both took him to task over what he did, and told us that he "didn't appreciate being called a liar" and abruptly hung up on us. 2nd Interaction: December 2008. I didn't have much regard for their parts department, but I heard their sales department was pretty decent. I took a drive over with the intent of purchasing a 2008 or 2009 Ranger; just a basic truck. After being out on the lot for about 15 minutes and nobody approaching me, I went to the showroom. There was maybe one customer with a salesman and all the other guys look like they just can't be bothered. So; I approach a guy sitting in an office on a computer (Spiky blonde hair, mid to late 20's). He gives me a look as if I was bothering him, tells me to come in and sit down, doesn't even shake my hand or bother to introduce himself, and says "I'll be right with you." He gets done on the PC and asks me "what do you want?" (Nice way to address a customer who wants to drop $17,000 on a new pickup truck). I tell him what I'm looking for and he rolls his eyes like "why am I wasting my time?" Finally, I had enough and told the guy "Maybe I should stop by another day." The guy (later found out his name was Mark) throws tosses a business card across the desk and pretty much gives me the "brush off." I made it a point to walk past the sales desk on my way out and let the manager know that his salesman had a poor attitude. The sales manager (I found out through the website that his name was Jan) was just as delightful as his salesman. Without even looking away from his computer monitor, he said "Have a nice day." I'm guessing since they've been in business for 102 years that they rely on generations of repeat customers and likely have no mortgage on the dealership, so it must be nice to be able to treat a new customer like dirt. It's been about 9 and 6 years, respectively since this happened, and I have not set foot back in the place and I sure don't refer people there.
