Absolutely, the worst bank I've ever banked with. Tried opening an additional checking account, and after several hours of my time over SEVERAL different visits, I have been told, "the computers are down","we're not sure how to do it ", "we're not sure why the computers are down" ,"the computers must not have gathered all your information " etc... I am not one that blasts local businesses, but c'mon, if you cant provide basic services, SHUT THE DOORS. AVOID THE PUEBLO WEST BRANCH!!

We opened a student account for my 16 year old daughter, whose only income is from babysitting since she volunteers nearly full time. After having the account for a few months, she had a $70 "service charge" on her savings account. We went to the bank to find out what it was and both tellers were very confused about it. They finally figured out that it was a service change because she transferred between savings and checking too many times. We were never told about this and would have never opened the account if we were. The manager was very rude and said the only thing we could do is try to call the 800 number and see if maybe they would give her back some of the money, but no guarantees and she had a woman that was able to get $30 of the service charge back. We will be closing the account. To charge $70 to transfer your own money between your own savings and checking accounts and to not be told about it when opening the account and then for a branch manager to not be able to approve a refund is unacceptable.

I opened my account when I was active duty, and to my chagrin, I still bank with Academy. You may be greeted with a smile at the counter, and those employees will bend over backwards to try to convince you that they are ‘good’ people, but the ones behind the scenes, the bank’s policy, is one of mistrust and lies. Take it from someone who has banked with Academy Bank for over ten years, this is probably the most mis-trusting bank there is. If you make a deposit, and they tell you they MUST place a hold on it in order for the time it takes to clear the check, they are lying. Modern electronics make the entire transaction instantly – no printed money ever exchanges hands. They are deliberately holding our monies so that they may collect on the interest, and it increases the value of the bank overall on the stock market. Yes, they release the funds within seven days, but they are essentially stealing your hard-earned money for a period of time for their own use until they deem to give it to you, based on their word. Yet they will not trust you at your word. If your employer issued you a check, and told you that you cannot cash it for seven days, and your told that for over ten years, how long would you work for that employer? Just sayin.

I have never had a problem with academy bank they have always been kind and understanding with whatever I had to do there

The staff changes so much, I cannot ever get out in 5 minutes, and the systems go down a lot. I was rather surprised how unprofessional some of the new tellers were.

Worst branch I have so many problems with them yesterday I deposited a check and went to get gas and my money wasn't in my account so I went back to the bank found out they put my money it a different account completely not even my account.

This location is never open on time. There website says 9-5 today and its 9:16 abd they are still no open.
