    I spent 45 minutes filling out the account information online. Their website said it could take up to two days for them to call or email me to arrange to come to their Credit Union and make a deposit to open the account. After two days I called them and was told that my account was being processed. After three days, I give up! And I would like to thank the other Google reviewers who rated this CU appropriately low that helped me decide to find another bank.

    Out of all the banks. This one is the absolute hands down best. I was shocked to learn I received my check a day earlier then everyone at my work place. They helped me get my credit rating back up. The staff is wonderful, Sweet and helpful. Thanks Abound

    Second Edit: 1/25/2022, I still have never heard from them, avoid this credit union like the plague, their customer service isn't abysmal, it's non-existant Edit: After they replied to my review Abound never actually followed up with me to defend their misogynistic practice of 'I'll talk to your husband but not you', doesn't surprise me, avoid this company. I co-signed on my wife's car, over the years she has managed the payments and whatnot. She has constantly complained about how terribly designed the interface is and how much of a pain it is to simply interact with her account, but the thing that really got me was that they did not allow my wife to close her own account, I had to call in just to close an account with a single dollar in it.....

    Getting a car loan through Abound has been a nightmare of an experience. My car was totaled due to a mechanical problem so I had to personally pay off my loan instead of using insurance, which I did in total over the phone (and even paid an extra $15 fee to do so!). The person that I spoke to never told me that would delay the release of my lien by 10 days, but later that was what we were told only after 4 separate phone calls over 2 days, despite the fact that the money for the loan has already cleared out of my bank account and the account is no longer active on their site. My car is still sitting at the mechanic, it can't move, I have people that have offered to buy it and haul it away, but it will be at least a week and a half before I can do anything about it (and that's assuming we were given correct information, which at this point is questionable). This has caused me to pay additional insurance money (as I can't uninsure the car until it is released from my possession), I can't in a timely fashion collect any return on the car to cover the money I had to pay to close out my lien, and the mechanics (that we love) are upset that this car will just continue to sit there until my bank gives me a piece of paper that says I paid for the car. I've gone through a similar process with other credit unions and have never had this kind of delay and runaround. I will never get a car loan through them again and will highly recommend that everyone avoid them if possible!

    The best credit union I've ever used! I have an active car loan with them and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I got the lowest interest rate and their customer service is superb! I will forever and always recommend Abound to anyone because they've always had my back! One day, when I'm ready to become a homeowner, abound will be at the top of my list! Thanks for everything.

    I was applying for an auto loan. However I couldn't get financed for enough due to the age of the automobile. However my loan officer worked some numbers and was able to come up with a very reasonable personal loan. Thank you for taking the extra effort to assist me. This is our 2nd loan with Abound and won't be the last!

    Hands down one of the worst user interfaces I've had the unfortunate necessity of navigating in a long time. I had to call their customer service center three times just to get my login information because my computer was "unregistered" and I therefore wasn't allowed to change my own password. I then spent an hour trying to figure out how to make a payment before learning there's a separate website with a separate login that you have to go through. Which meant two more calls to their center. The whole experience was so frustrating I paid the rest of my balance just to (hopefully) never have to deal with this again. The call representatives were all very nice and patient, however, which was the only reason I gave two stars. Edit: Reduced to One Star Unfortunately paying off my balance was not the end of this infuriating experience. After paying off my balance, I called back to close my account. A five dollar balance came out of nowhere, which was suspicious because I paid the account in its entirety, but fine, I'll pay it. I was then told it would cost fifteen dollars to pay this charge over the phone and I wasn't driving an hour to their nearest office for five dollars. After waiting on hold, I was told the balance would be dropped and to call back to make sure the account was closed. I called to finally close the account and went through a dozen security questions, only to be told I couldn't close the account, that is fully paid off and empty, because my husband is also on the account, so he has to call. This has by far been one on the single most frustrating experience I've had. I will actively avoid this company in the future and tell others to do so as well.

    This is the worst experience I have ever had with a finance company. I have called a tried to set up payments to be automatically taken out of my bank account but no one there will help set it up. All they will tell you is to download the app. The app will not let me even transfer money over to pay so I am stuck calling in to speak to the terrible employees that work here. And then they end up charging me extra money just to give them my card over the phone. Terrible business practices.100% do not use.

    I have been banking with Ft Knox Federal Credit Union (now Abound) for 2 years, I deposit a payroll check (same amount) every 2 weeks, I typically bank at one of the Etown locations and have absolutely no problems, but since I was in Louisville picking up my payroll paycheck, from a local Louisville business drawn on a local bank, I thought I would give this location one more chance, we’ll that will not happen again. The teller took my payroll check to a supervisor and after being gone for almost 10mins, she came back and said they would have to put a 5 day hold on my payroll paycheck check. This is so not acceptable especially since they have NEVER EVER put a hold on my paycheck. I will stick to my Etown locations and not ever visit this branch again. This is not the first time I have deposited my paycheck since the name change. I was in this Valley Station branch two weeks ago depositing the same payroll paycheck with no issue other then waiting in line for more then 20mins while waiting for the teller to finish a personal conversation with a member - no hold on my paycheck at that time.

    Absolutely the worst financial institution I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve had a car loan for a year and a half and thank Jesus that I just paid it off and I don’t have to deal with these people anymore. I would Compare this place too lung cancer Crazy fees no notice added insurance to my car loan because they say they never received my car insurance even though I sent it to them four times. Run don’t walk away from these thieves.
