A1 Check Cashing # 12 S Gessner Rd, Houston

I went there today to cash my check. It was a retirement check. They made me feel like I was a criminal. They argued amongst themselves . An did not tell me they were gonna charge me $50 to cash my check. I went to them cause they are literally right by my house. So I thought it was convenient. I will NEVER go there again. An I don’t recommend anyone to go there either.

Fast response with just my ID ,i could cash out a check without getting to the bank or ATM....i was impressed

Deceitful and incompetent customer service with little regard for customers. After bringing my niece to this location (#5) to cash a check, she was turned away because they stated it was against their policy to do so. However, another location (#10) had no issue cashing the check for her several times before. In fact, she had an account with them which noted that they routinely cashed the checks for her. The attendant at location #5 attempted to convince me that they weren't able to "view the account" from her location, which I'd already known to not be true. After calling her out on her lie, I requested to speak to the manager. The poorly trained man who came over to speak to me claimed that his boss wouldn't allow him to cash the check, yet it was clear that no one had been spoken to on our behalf. They then directed me to go 10 mins. away to location #10 after insinuating that "it was just down the street". However, after arriving at location #10 we were informed that location #5 called them while we were on the way to instruct them not to cash the check although they had cashed it several times with no issue before. Sadly, these places take advantage of individuals who can't access banks, and don't invest in their customer service. When businesses know they are your last resort, they have tendency not to value their customers. If you can avoid them, do so at all costs, and open an account with a trusted and well staffed bank. I'm so glad that I don't have to personally deal with these issues, and I will insist that my sister in law open a bank account for my niece immediately.

The lady at the window right by start here sign today between 430-445 didn't tell me that they were charging more than 1 percent before cashing check ok an already small check. When I asked about it and asked to reverse it she shrugged and acted like she didn't want to give me the managers contact info. Saying it's already done. But failed to tell me the cost before completing the transaction.

These people are deceitful and rude. You can't claim to have hidden charges and won't spell it out to customers till after transaction and you claim you can't refund the check. Please don't go here if you dont want to have a bad day after you planned to use all your cashed money for something important and uegent

Horrible service! Very rude and they over charge to cash any check. Thieves!! STAY AWAY FROM HERE

Call this location to see if they were hiring the two. answer the phone with a ride attitude.Ask them if this was the location on S.gessner he said NO with a attitude and hung up in my face. I will no recommend anyone due to BAD customer service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not cash you checks here!! Go somewhere else
